Ah, what a beautiful song. I don’t have much more to say after that. I don’t think I’ll need to edit this translation much in the future, it seems pretty smooth. I should probably stop posting so late though.

I decided it’s about time I give this album a listen today, I’ve also got plans for ORIGAMI from it. I was a little confused about the meaning of “period” at first, but given that the lyrics speaks of the world being upside down etc, I think it means “time period,” if anyone else thought it was a little vague.

Phew, the translation was the easy part of this one, but getting all the kanji transcribed took a while. I had a lot of trouble figuring out some of them. I guess that’s what I get for putting off my studies. According to the dictionary, Okesabushi is a style of Japanese folk song associated with the Niigata prefecture. This’ll probably be the last song from this album I do.

Warning, this is a pretty vulgar song. Of course, if you haven’t seen the anime, or if you don’t know about it at least, this song’ll really seem off the rocks. I’m not surprised I couldn’t find an english translation for this, it seems to be a severely underrated song. I really how the enka style is implemented in it.

Notes: 「喪がいて」 seems to be a play on words, combining 「喪女」 and the verb 「もがく」.
「忌みTATION!」 and　「廃TENSION!」 are taking advantage of the sound reading of the kanji to make english sounding words, I haven’t seen that before.
