Alright, let me get this straight. The door swallowed the guy up and disappeared, the speaker missed his voice and tried to make an illusion, but something was missing. The door beckons her, and it seems to be implied that she fell for it and got trapped. Her heart is broken as she hears him laugh, realizing she was tricked, but she has the key. So she wants revenge, locks him in and tries to forget about her pain. What a song.

Ah.. there was no video for this one either, but it’s such a great song! Been addicted to this one and the 2 keys rock arrange for a while now. Notes about this song would be a little spoilery I feel, so skip over them below if you want to experience the song first. I don’t know how obvious the surprise would be though, reading it in English.

Notes: Whoa whoa, I was reading this in the beginning thinking that the speaker here meant her loved one had passed away, but then during the line “Even though I’m not there anymore,” “not there anymore” generally has the nuance of death in Japanese, which implies that the speaker was the one who died. This evidence can be supported looking at phrases such as “In a world far away.” In that case, then when she said “I grow to want our paths to overlap,” could she have meant.. she wants him to also die just so she can see him again? The things you’d do for love…
