I wasn’t sure about posting this one. It’s a bit hard to interpret the lyrics. For example, in Japanese, the word for moonlight is 月影 (lit. moonshadow). Does that extend to 月の影? Do all the 影s in this song actually mean light from the moon? 影 alone usually means shadow, but what shadow is rainbow coloured?

Another gripe I had was with 「その手を今　伸ばして　月を掴むなら」. Is the first half a sentence on its own, telling the listener to reach their hands out? The space does seem to indicate that it’s separate from the later bit, though if that were the case, it would be more clear to make that portion its own line. Or is the entire line its own phrase, connected to the second line, as Japanese grammar would normally imply? I don’t think it sounds as cool that way though, and sometimes lyricists do tend to go off the beaten track. In the end, I don’t think there’s really a way to tell.
