Requested by Primity, my first Shibayan song. If anyone was actually watching my twitter, you’d see I had a real fun time with this one. The tune of this song resembled Mario Kart in my opinion.

Notes: “Don’t try dodge around the invisible wall or anything” means “Don’t run away from the issue,” or “Don’t beat around the bush” for other wording, in case it seemed vague. Also, I’d like to imagine the girl waiting on the street is the speaker looking in through the window, at the couple.

If you were to ask about my interpretation of this song, it’s about a woman sitting around telling a story about a girl with a boyfriend (or maybe they were more than that?) in a relationship with no love. She tried to engage him but “He’s inside the fog loitering all alone” indicates that he’s detached. One day, he falls for another woman, and the speaker is like “Oh well, I can still see him anytime,” but she has to witness the couple do lover’s things.  In the end, the woman closes the storybook without finishing, and tells her audiences not to peek until she comes back.

Requested by Kii, it’s easy to see how similar the style is to convalla prison. I wonder if all of Oosera’s songs are like this.

Note: 申子 literally means “heaven-sent child,” but I figured translating that as “saint” was more fitting. I guess the speaker here is the “crane of love” called upon to love this fallen angel, but it seems they don’t have much time together, which would explain why the speaker wishes to “destroy the key” and trap her. This might be a bit of an obvious observation, but it seems the princess was the one who called upon the speaker here in her sleep.

Requested by Primity, lets see: Having to repeat a fate over and over, despite knowing it’ll end badly? I’m somewhat reminded of Homura.

Notes: I felt somewhat unsatisfied with my translation here, as you might have noticed from my many edits since I posted. The song seems more clear in the second half, but it woulda been really nice to have some pre-established context to work from this time around. It seems that here, the singer has an opposing force. The singer wants the opposing force to give up her evil ways, as evidenced by “Your eyes, body, and heart burn red | Release it into this blue sky.” Maybe it’s a friend, and that’s who the speaker is fighting to save. This song was somewhat tough, I had to rely a lot on the “this”s and “that”s for perspective, who the speech was aimed at here, which can be pretty vague at times. After relistening countless times, I think I’ve got it down though.
