Man, it was hard to choose the original or this re-arrange (this one) of this song, they’re both pretty great. I’m not sure why I didn’t translate this one earlier.

A Transient Love

Tegamin reminded me the other day that Linjin has stated that he wants his latest songs kept off youtube. That explains why there hasn’t been any videos on my posts lately – they must’ve all been taken down.

Notes: This song is more vague than is usual. Neither the words “me” or “you” is mentioned a single time, not once, so, as I do when translating songs like these, I wrote down a ___ in place of where any personal pronouns should be, and filled it out according to how it sounded like it should be. For example, in the case of “And then, someday ___ notice won’t _?”, it wouldn’t make sense for the speaker to notice that she would notice something, because that would mean she already noticed it! Given that the those stanzas end with that, I figured the subject of the following would also be the “you,” and generally worked on it based around that.
